Ramen has to be one of my favorite food dishes and I continue to find myself here at Uchiwa. They quality is consistent and the food is delicious! The broth is great and the noodles taste fresh and are always cooked perfectly. The service is quick and the staff is always very polite ensuring I have everything needed. If I need to voice a concern or ask for additional items, I've always been met with kindness. The restaurant is one of the best hole in the walls here in San Rafael, but it isn't a hole in the wall. It's actually quite beautiful inside. Simple but always clean. The location is super convenient for my in the middle of DT and walkable from my house. Lots of street parking and a parking garage nearby.
Our absolute goto for Ramen in San Rafael... Menu offers many tasty small bites and appetizers also! Ramen broths...superb! Staple in Marin County. Try them in Emeryville, too! Highly recommend! Cheers!
Carlos was a great server! We really enjoyed the Chicken Katsu. The Gyoza was really good too. We'll be back to try out the Tonkatsu ramen like Carlos had suggested.
The real deal. It's nice to come back here and enjoy my noodle day. When I lived nearby I came more regularly. Now I happily enter this place with a special hunger today. The place was clean and well maintained and ready for customers with napkins out. The place settings were clean and sanitized. After sitting down we immediately had customer service at the table. Thank you Alice for making us welcome. I had the Tonkatsu Ramen and my wife had the Miso Ramen. Both awesome and have a beautiful presentation. THe staff was friedly and helpful. We really enjoyed this on or pass through town again. I want to return with our daughter. She loves this stuff. I will be happy to come back here again and look at these pictures.
